Name Winner - DUKES!!

It  is with great pleasure that we share with you the results of last night’s Special General Meeting.

We would like to welcome you to the “CUMBERLAND DUKES MINOR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION”.

Congratulations to the following winners who had submitted “Dukes”: 

1.       Martin Billingham (Midget and Juvenile parent)

2.       Alain Champagne (IP parent)

3.       Steve Kerr (Peewee Parent)

4.       Annie Stiles (IP parent)

5.       Steve Rathwell (Atom parent)

6.       Keith Were (Atom parent)

7.       Guy Marcoux (Novice parent)

This is a great mix across the membership / divisions. Each winner will receive a new jersey once our logo is finalized and $71.50 which represents their share of the $500 prize.

Our due diligence is complete with respect to communicating our new name to the ODMHA as Gary Hopkins, District 12 Chair, has informed them in writing this morning on our behalf.

So as an “association” going forward we will be known as the “Dukes”, but all house teams will retain their individual names for the remainder of this season only.

Next step, we need to launch the logo submission which will begin next week. Details to follow shortly.

Finally, as of today we are officially using only our new web site for updates and communication. The old web site will remain active until we complete the migration to the new site. Both sites are linked , and you can toggle between the two as needed.  http://cumberland.goalline.ca/

In closing, thank you to everyone involved to get us this far. We still have a lot of work with respect to logo, jerseys , branding , and now documentation updates.....but we will get there.
